County Cricket membership packages 2016: Part three

In the final instalment of our three part special, we go through the remaining six counties and their membership packages and benefits for 2016. Please note that these are only guides. For more comprehensive information, follow the links given to the relevant county’s website.

Somerset

Somerset, whose facilities have been boosted by the opening of the new Somerset pavilion incorporating the return of the famous Stragglers Bar, offer a range of membership packages.

Championship Adult Membership costs £154 until 3 February 2016, when the price rises to £184. This gives free entry to all LV= County Championship and group matches in the Royal London One Day Cup. Joint membership for two people from the same household costs £289.

Platinum Membership costs £224 and gives entry to all of the above plus NatWest T20 group games and tourist matches. Joint Platinum Membership costs £399 and family Membership for two adults and two juniors costs £439.

Juniors can get the same benefits as Platinum Members for just £25, by joining either the Wyverns (for ages 13 to 18 year olds) or the Stumpy Sloggers (for under 13s).

Platinum Members, Wyverns and Stumpy Sloggers can upgrade to Plus membership which provides an allocated seat in the Marcus Trescothick stand for all T20 Group games plus tourist games. For adults and juniors, this costs an extra £40.

Additional benefits of membership include:

  • Access to the Members Only seating areas including the Somerset Pavilion and Sir Ian Botham Stand.
  • Members Only bar in the Colin Atkinson Pavilion (County Room).
  • Two free LV= County Championship guest passes.
  • One free RL One-Day Cup group match guest pass.
  • One free scorecard per LV= County Championship home match.
  • 10% discount on all Somerset County Cricket Club branded clothing at Somerset County Sports.

Surrey

The County Adult membership, allowing access to all Surrey’s home fixtures including entry to the pavilion at the Kia Oval as well as the Members’ Enclosures at Guildford, is priced at £194. For 16-21 year olds, it’s £65.

Covering all domestic cricket except the T20 Blast, the Championship package costs £144. Access to all white-ball cricket, somewhat misleadingly titled the T20 Membership, will cost the same. Both of these also include priority access for two tickets for Test Matches and two for One-Day Internationals at the Kia Oval, while County memberships include priority access for eight Test tickets and four ODI tickets.

Formerly the Hollioake Club Membership, the Pride of Lions membership gives under-16s access to all Surrey home fixtures at just £20, and includes a membership pack and exclusive junior member events.

Finally, the most popular is the Surrey and England membership. Prices begin at £225, and give members an allocated seat for internationals as well as the first option to buy international tickets for that seat, in addition to the standard County Adult benefits.

Sussex

Sussex’s executive membership comes at a cost of £714. For that you get entry into all matches over the season as well as up to two guest passes.

Their normal membership price is £250 for the season. Again that gives you the option of attending all Sussex home games as well as the other membership benefits such as entry into the pavilion, full voting rights and entry to selected race meetings in the area.

A slightly cheaper option is the Championship+ membership which will set you back £200 and allows you entry to the Championship and Royal London One Day Cup matches while a separate T20 membership can be purchased for £120.

Children can get a Junior Sharz membership for £15 for the year, which is a good priced incentive to get the future stars of the game into Hove.
