Warwickshire have secured the long-term futures of fast bowler Boyd Rankin and batsman Sam Hain, who have signed new three and four year contracts respectively.
Rankin joined the Bears from Derbyshire ahead of the 2008 season and was part of the Warwickshire squads that won the CB40 in 2010, the County Championship in 2012 and, more recently, the Birmingham Bears team that won the T20 Blast at Edgbaston in August.
The 30-year-old has represented England in all three forms of the game, after making his debut in 2013, and previously represented Ireland in two World Cups and three ICC World T20s.
Earlier this season Hain broke Ian Bell’s record to become the youngest Warwickshire player in history to score a First Class century, with 134 against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road aged 18 years and 336 days.
He followed this up in the return County Championship fixture at Edgbaston in September, by becoming the youngest Warwickshire player to score a double hundred in First Class Cricket, aged 19 years and 57 days.

“Boyd’s pace and bounce make him one of the most feared bowlers on the county circuit and, at his best, he is a match for any batsman in the world. His form in the latter part of the season was key to our qualification for the Royal London One-Day Cup Final at Lord’s and claiming our first NatWest T20 Blast title at Edgbaston.
“Sam took his opportunity in First Class Cricket last season and is now one of the most exciting prospects in the country. His record-breaking feats have rightly attracted a lot of attention and we are thrilled that he has committed long-term to Warwickshire.”
